Safeguarding

KaleidoCare Psychotherapy does not provide standalone therapy to anyone under 18—they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at every session. (Where appropriate and discussed both with client and parent, clients above the age of 16 might be seen individually when able to consent).

Should any concerns arise about a child or vulnerable person’s safety or wellbeing, I am bound by UK safeguarding legislation and BACP ethical standards to take appropriate action. This may include contacting relevant agencies—such as local authority MASH teams, the NSPCC (0808 800 5000), or the police—to ensure protection.

I will inform you of any necessary steps, unless doing so would increase risk. I maintain close supervision and secure, proportionate record-keeping to uphold safe, ethical practice at all times.

Cancellation Policy

I require at least 48 hours’ notice of cancellation or rescheduling via email or text to avoid being charged the full session fee

If you arrive late, I’m afraid I cannot extend the session beyond its scheduled end time, as this impacts other clients’ appointments—even so, the full rate for the session will still apply.
